Now that you are back at home you want to come back to these moments and relive the feeling of how it was then: how the two of you wandered hand in hand through the Vondelpark, how you kissed on the Skinny Bridge, or how you enjoyed a romantic boat trip. Enjoying the city, but mostly each other. You pick up your phone to look through some of those fine moments and you see – NOTHING! How do we plan your Photoshoot in Amsterdam?
First, you will discuss the optimal location with the photographer – on a historical bridge, sitting at the canals, sailing on a boat, relaxing in the Vondelpark, or cuddling on a staircase. The possibilities are endless. We know many unique spots and know what time of day they look best. If you choose a 45-minute couple photoshoot you may choose 2 locations, whilst the 1,5-hour photoshoot features 4 locations.

We believe nothing beats the “Golden Hour”, the approximately one hour exactly after sunrise or before sunset. If the sun is out (which is sometimes a challenge in Amsterdam), the light in this hour has a magical golden tint through which your love will be shining even brighter on the photos. Our photographers know exactly where and when to be in the city to catch this special moment of the day. Very early in the morning on the weekends is a wonderful time as the city is usually empty and there is almost nobody, apart from you, in the streets. This is also a plus if you are a bit shy in front of the lens and don’t want other people watching you.
Be aware; the time of the golden hour changes throughout the year. This is a very popular choice in the summer. Plan the time well with your photographer in advance to get the best out of your romantic photoshoot.
Even if you are not an early bird, or if the sun is refusing to shine on the day of your photoshoot, the results will not be compromised. Stormy clouds or heavy rain can also be a wonderful backdrop – just imagine the kiss from the movie the Notebook! What time of the year is best to do a photoshoot in Amsterdam?
The summer months are very popular, because of their warm temperatures and lush atmosphere. therefore we advise you to book far in advance. Other times of the year can also give wonderful results. The warm colors of the city in autumn, the silvery winter light (and maybe even the frozen canals), or the awakening nature and endless tulip fields in spring. The vibe of the photoshoot in Amsterdam will fit and reflect the colors of the season: a warm cup of chocolate milk and a thick sweater in winter, happy colors in spring, a sexy summer dress in summer, and warm and loving colors in autumn.
